Yeah, I have introduced myself to her, I forgot to mention that. I wouldn't say we really got to know each other yet though.

Just take it easy, get to know her. Become friends and take it from there. Who knows, it might take a few weeks, maybe a few years until you actually get together. But having a boyfriend or girlfriend who becomes your bestest friend in the whole wide world, I feel, is one of the greatest things in life.

Me and my girlfriend were friends for about a year until we started going out. It's 1 year and 10 months this Oct. 1.

And Witchblade, about that quote closely related to: "You can do anything that you put your mind to" is not always wrong. Well, how I view it. People have their ups and downs, but if someone wants to get to achieve a goal, putting your heart into it helps a lot. If all fails, maybe a different approach might work.

No no no, you never want them to think of you as a good "friend." That just takes yourself out of the game right away.

Withcblade, it was meant more as a saying to help with state of mind, nothing more. It is fallacious but if you get in the positive state of mind, you can do it. If it goes to the point of arrogance due to sheer overconfidence, then it is a statement that should be avoided.

Sorry but finding humor in "stalking" speaks of someone's level of maturity. Especially in light of someone else's sensitivity to the issue.

fighting for something is serious... thats an obvious thing even if i dont like the use of the word "fighting"

Lets be honest a sec .. it still quite luck and look based stuff ...

but thats not rlly the point... i just mean dont go too much in the "believe in miracles and it will happen" thing cauz...i ve seen (not talkin of me there) what it does when the "magic doesnt happen" (in a way that s the feeling u r trying to show us here)

@xue: omg!! sry i should have said it otherwise ... i meant .. i dunno what IT means .. i m french sry
What do u call "stalkin" .. i aint sure i got THIS idea ...

[QUOTE=Autumn_Leaf]totally agree with the don't be in the firend-zone thing. reason being is that after a while she will concider u a friend and think that entering a relationship with u can cause harm to the frienship if things don't work out. [QUOTE=Autumn_Leaf]

remember:
1. don't do anything stupid,
2. try to talk to her when none of your or her stupid friends are around because they can mess the whole thing up. ( u do not need distractions to an already stressful moment)
do u not like my suggestions? I think its enough with the help, its all for nothing if you don't have the courage to do something with them.

I thank all of you for your input, and I think I'm going with the "dont get too close but get to know her a bit" stance on this. I'll erm...try my luck tomorrow.

This is the best advice ever. I'm always best mates with blokes before I go in for the kill. That way, it's like you're hanging out with a really old friend, cos.. you are...heh
